Hanging method for square OS map

Hello All. I have just framed a personalised OS map which including mount is 910mm square. It is framed with a 1 3/4" pine moulding and glazed with 3mm acrylic.

My question is will strong cord and large D rings be ok with this or should I suggest strap hangers or the like.
Thanks.

As long as the moulding has enough meat in it to get a couple of screws well in - fine. :D

Don't forget this, especially for a large/heavy thing.

Yes, thanks Robo. I have also taken to marking on the back where the hooks should be placed to support it. I've even thought of including a wall template ("put hooks here") to the size of the picture. I thought this might be a good idea having seen one of my larger framing jobs hanging off the wall on one hook. The cord was intended to be strung on two hooks so it leaned forward a long way at the top! The customer had ignored both the marks on the back and the "instructions" printed on the invoice.

I mark the back of the frame to show the ideal distance apart for the wall hooks too. I use a stamp, a stamp on the cap of a biro that we bought a shedload of and can't sell to save our lives, there's several designs, it's a panda at the moment!

Then we attach a strip of paper to the wire with "USE TWO WALL HOOKS AS INDICATED" printed on it and then use the same stamp on that.
