Got a customer coming in with a set of 20 cigarette-cards

She wants to view them from both sides.

I said I'd do them No Problem :sweating: (not going to turn a job down)

But I havent got a clue on how to

Any Advice would be appreciated

PM or otherwise

Thanks in advance

You are right Ricky. No problem. First you need a cigarette card mount to hold the appropriate cards (whatever their make/size etc) then kake frame to suit mount. Two pieces of glass and a slip mount to space the glass away from the pins. The slip mount needs to have a drop out less than the border around the cards.

make sure that you get a mount where the cigarette cards drop in to the apertures. The pieces of glass hold the cards in place. Whoever you get the mount from (don't try doing this without a CMC) tell them whether they are repro cards or originals as they are slightly different size.

Incidentally, we do sell the mounts. Have a look on the website.

Humm, make a scan of each card, print em off and cut double the number of apetrures to display one alongside or below t'other in pairs? Dont do it without access to a CMC!
