Colour tint from polish

I use quite a lot of unfinished moulding that I paint white or cream, and then finish with black bison wax. I find the neutral imparts a yellowish tinge, and the clear an orange tint. Can anyone advise a technique or a product that will not have such an obvious effect on the finish?

Clear acrylic varnish?

I like Renaissance wax, virtually no colour change and if you use alot then the 3L size is very economical. I also use the Polyvine and Roberson acrylic sealers.

I would go with the Renaissance wax too.
But actually on white or cream I would often use liming wax.

Thank you for the replies. I had wondered about varnish but my experience in other areas is that it is slow drying and holds up the job. I'll check out Renaissance wax. Regarding liming wax I do sometimes use that but I usually finish it with the Bison wax on top because I find the liming wax very soft and susceptible to finger marks. While writing this it occurs to me that perhaps that is because I'm not burnishing it enough?

I get a bit confused with BB waxes. 'Neutral' looks clear and 'Clear' is orange. (Or is it the other way round?)
Anyhow, maybe you are putting too much on. Try saturating a duster with Neutral (or the one that isn't orange) and letting it dry. Buff the frame with it hard and the friction will soften the wax so that it transfers to the paint and shines it up without having to put a lot on.

Thanks for the tips on polishing technique. I think I'll paint up some scrap and do a few experiments to see what gives me the best result.
