Melinex book mount

hopefully you'll have access to the Jim Miller books or similar on this otherwise this will sound gobbledygook.
Strip B - it wraps over the cover and overlaps at the back. Do you use d/ sided tape at the overlap to keep it tidy, and then use more d/sided tape on the rear of the envelope to fix it to the mountboard.
Strip A - Do you cut the slots in the mountboard, get it all creased and in position prior to making the envelope from melinex B. Then as you thread A through the slots and press it down, D/sided on the back of B sticks to the mountboard.
Has anyone done it where B becomes two horizontal strips rather than the full cover. I'm not so sure I like the full cover bit because of the shinier finish, but if it's the only way to go I'll do it like that.
