Hi,
I'm fairly new to framing and have been given a collecter's item t-shirt with signatures to frame. On browsing through the Lion Catalogue, I have come across the Micro stitch tagging gun and wondered what other framer's opinions are on these - the client wants the t-shirt laid with sleeves out and has picked the frame. Any help appreciated!

search back through the postings and you should find quite a lot of opinions.
I use the tag gun on shirts and am pleased with the way the gun works - downside would be the large needle can damage some materials and you need to take care to hide the tags. needle easily damaged when pushing into backboard.
upside - quick and very easy.
White tags - paint heads to blend into material.

We bought one of these a couple of years ago. It really speeds up the process of mounting textiles to backing boards. I agree with the comments on the previous post, but as we used to sew shirts to the backing board the time saving is worth the cost of the needles - always keep a spare in stock as you are guaranteed to break the last needle on a job with a deadline. Well worth the money though.
