Old films on the box
One (or two) of the things i enjoy about old B & W films on the box is seeing the old cars when they were new ! and the streets of LOndon (or other places i know like NY or LA) pictured years ago - recently saw a film from the late 50's/early 60's showing the old cable and wireless offive in old broad st london - right opposite the builing i started work in 117 OBS. It also showed the Ship in wormwood st where i had my first pint of ale! And where later my mate PB (to protect his good name) set fire to the landlords handlebar moustache for a bet (funny then - but not so funny on reflection).
when all is said and done - there is more said than done.

I watched "The Ladykillers" (original) the other day. Amazing to see streets near Kings Cross station with not a yellow line in sight. Acres of empty curbsides and hardly a parked car.
Only the 1950's.
