How do you calculate?

I have been playing with my Demo….and I love it….
Though I have a problem
......whats new says you 
I cannot fully understand how the Materials pricing works.
With no waste and no minimum if I price a mount of 40 x 50cm and have entered 12 as the price I get 12 as the sales price that is OK no problem there…….now when I put 12 as the cost then 2 minimum and 25% waste I get 20.70 …….when by my calculations it should be 17.50……what am I doing wrong or what is the calculation.
