I have two old fashioned thick bladed bench end guillotines, but of which have been well used by me and their previous owners. They still work, but I would like to get them re-sharpened by someone who knows what they are doing.

Can anyone suggest where I can get this done?

I would give them to a company that sharpens Printers Guillotines.

they are based in chesterfied I let them have a go at sharpening my morso blades, with terrible result. but they do specialize in sharpening paper guillotines. so might be good. Just don't let them near the morso blades.

I think they sharpen morso blades as a bit of a side line, I don't think guillotines require quite the same technique . the blades we got back were razor sharp, but try as we may we just could not get good mitre s. I wasted a heap of molding and ended up buying a new set just to be sure (which were fine) I sent the blades back with a complaint and they came back the same., radius molding s then re sharpened and all back to perfect.

I only posted just incase the offered to do the morso blades , just say no.

Most industrial blade sharpeners don't hollow grind which is fine for the guillotine but a big no no for the morso.
