Help: printing ltd edition prints

Post by fusionframer »

hi all,

I have a customer who is an artist. She is looking to sell printss of her work. She has had a photographer take photos of a painting who is experienced of taking photo's for artists to create prints.

I do not know much about this at all. Does someone have the right printer so i can send the images to print. I am of course happy to pay the going rate. If this sample works well, there will be more printing needed.

I am keen to help the artist because she is a friend, but i will also get the framing work.

If anyone can help, please pm me and i will contact to make arrangemenrs.

Many thanks

Nick

I would suggest find someone local to you who you can take the original to and make sure the prints are a good match to it. Getting the colour management right is critical.

Coulour matching could well be an issue working from a photograph/digital file.

However, If you've seen it on screen and its a good match I'll happily print you a small proof and post it to you free of charge, you just need to send me the file!

PM me for details

we are looking at 18" by 12".

In fact, I have had several enquiries for printing from artists this week. I do a lot of framing for artists (I guess any framer does!), but some of the local artists seem to be selling well at the moment. What I am finding though is that the paintings selling seem to be your more traditional landscapes. This is good as that is what I sell in our shop!

Cheers
