Got a bit hungry whilst manning the new shop today, so I thought I'd try the sandwich shop over the road. Whilst looking at the menu, I decided it was gonna be an unhealthy BEST on a large, little did I know what they passed off as a large.
Yes that is a dinner plate, the 20p is for scale, yes I ate the lot.

At £3.20 even a tight yorkshire git like myself is happy to do that, you will even get a cup of tea, you will have to buy your own chips though, I'm not a mad man.
Back in the 1980's, I was sent by a previous employer on various occasions to solve some technical problems for a client company in Newcastle upon tyne. Part of Newcastle is called "Shieldfields" and at that time there was a takeaway burger and chips shop called "Jacks Place", I don't know if it is still there, but they used to produce an enormous burger called a Jack burger.
It had everything you could possibly think of in it and you could buy it in two sizes, a quarter stottie, or a half stottie. A stottie is a geordie word for a type of bread and the half stottie Jack burger was as much as you could do to eat it! I would a half stottie Jack burger before returning to my then, Surrey home and would still be to full to eat anything else after driving all the way home.
