Tall skinny pictures
Hello everyone any ideas on the following would be a great help.....
I have got 4 tall skinny pictures and am wondering if they would look better with a wider mount at the bottom and top than the sides, visa versa, or all the same all the way around......
Does that make any sense?

Thanks everyone .... I guess I will leave it where it is then! I have one of the measurement systems and it works for me.... the only trouble I have is using the mitre trimmer..... it can sometimes take a while trying to get the pieces exactly the same length. I went into Frameco a couple of weeks a...

The problems I have had and it has cost me a fortune! First the foam core kept bending so I bought lots more, then the shop I bought t...

I thought I would share with you that I have still not finished these medals! Am ready to throw them out of the window! I was doing ok and now the fomecore has bent out of shape slightly as I think I have pulled the velvet around it too tightly causing it to bend a little..... I am now going to star...

Hi Markw, thanks for reply, couldn't use the fishing line as these medals are really big and that would only secure them at the top. I have put acid free tape across the hole at the back of the foam core and pressed the medals into the recess so they have stuck onto the tape. I am hoping this is ok ...

Hello everyone.... a friend of mine has asked me to frame 3 medals. I am a hobby framer and have not done this before. I assumed, (stupidly), that I could make a box frame and attach the medals onto the mountboard by the back, but she has asked for the medals to be recessed. I have been scratcing my...

Framing Norah Thanks very much for your reply... I had an idea but you have made it much clearer! There are so many things to learn but at least I am enjoying myself (and annoying my poor long suffering husband).... If he stays still for long enough I will frame him too! I will keep ploddi...
