Re: A44-p underpinner from A+ automation

Thanks Dave. I have tried this but the large block that the serrated business end of the arm is screwed onto will not fit into the space where the 2 locating lugs are. If it did fit then I would still not be able to join any mouldings that fell between my current max position and the location in fro...

Re: A44-p underpinner from A+ automation

Thank you NTG999. Your clamping arm goes back a lot more than mine. The metal guide under the serrated pushing head will not fit beyond the 70mm mark. I wonder if my clamping arm is the correct one for this model? I have attached a photo of below and side view of the arm if this helps my problem bei...

A44-p underpinner from A+ automation

Can anyone help me. I bought one of these machines. The spec says it can join mouldings up to 160mm wide. I can only join up to a max of 70mm wide. My supplier thinks I need a different clamp arm to add 25mm, so now max 95mm. Can anyone with this machine post a picture of how the clamp bar is pulled...

Valiani CMS TP 120 Free to good home

Hi. I have a Valiani 120 that Has been sitting idle in my workshop for 5 years. I stopped using it when I moved premises and got a Gunnar cmc. I could use more space. I am in Northern Ireland. The machine had its cutting head refurbished by Valiani before the move and has not been used since. It wor...

Third world working conditions

I just want to say that the heating is off and I am working in a short sleeved shirt. The last time that happened was in 2016. May your workshop provide spring bliss as well.

Re: Mainline All size stretcher Bars

Hi all thanks for your replies. I think I'll join geospectrums thought on this product, It seemed a good idea at the time but will try something else when my current stock runs out. I don't think the magic morso rebate support that slides into slots is a common accessory, though mainline did kindly ...

Mainline All size stretcher Bars

I watched the "how to" video on mainlines website for this product. Seemed great, just a morso and hammer needed. Hey presto a budget stretcher frame for those budget canvas / painted bed sheets, brought in by budget customers. However, I can't cut cleanly with my morso (type F). The slots...

Re: Scratch map of world

Thanks for your replies. I did contact the phone number given on the tube the map came in. They were quick to reply saying : Thanks for your email. We do not recommend using any form of heat on the map as it will destroy it. Heat and rollers would damage the foil so the only way, apart from a standa...

Scratch map of world

Hi All. I have been given a scratch map of the world from Luckies of london, to stick to a board and frame, no glazing. Has anyone any experience of working with one of these maps. the countries are covered in a foil (like a scratch and lose lottery ticket) so you can scratch off each country when v...

Re: Lets Play Phil and Kirsty

OK. Its the part when Phil and Kirsty go to the pub and put in a chheky offer to the vendor. I did and now have the old cafeteria of a disused factory that is being converted into a business park. Its off a main road easy access and free parking. Here are some "before" pics the after ones ...

Re: CUSTOMERS Don't you just love them?

Just finished replacing glass on second Ikea frame of the day. ("I broke the glass in a frame could you replace it?) This is steady Saturday business for me. 2nd most popular Ikea job is cutting a mount to fit their photo / poster. Its a framers secret that while ikea make apertures in metric, ...

Re: Lets Play Phil and Kirsty

Great feedback, please keep it coming. Seems so far that workshop facilities can be gained from customer areas with no negative impact, interesting. Also been thinking about car parking. What impact does designated free car parking have over street / get as close as you can get parking. After all th...
