Re: Extension Arms Purpose ?
Well I've persevered with the extension arms, especially as they cost so much, and I agree, as long as they are not higher than the underpinner surface I should be ok. I've also moved the underpinner into a leant back position and this seems to also help things alot, not only with supporting the wei...

Extension Arms Purpose ?
So having purchased an Alfamachine U200 to replace my ageing Cassesse CS88, I decided to splash out on some extension arms. I've struggled sometimes to support my long frames before when joining, resorting to various support methods to hold that dangling end, along with brute force. I only frame one...

Underpinner Wanted ?
Hi,
I'm looking for an underpinner if anyone has one. I have seen A+ Automation A1-M-XL equipment, but also read these were being made anymore, so dont want to go the same way as Casesse.
thanks

Re: Angle and gap problems. Knife Block issue?
Hi,
I basically double cut everything. Which suggests the knife block is not precisely 90 degrees. I did make a 90 degree laser cut angle out of acrylic which allows me to check if the fences have moved and so far ok, by putting the two cut pieces in to check for any play. Hope this helps.

Re: Angle and gap problems. Knife Block issue?
Always had issues to be honest, which is why I bought new blades hoping that would fix things. Re reading some of the advice, it may be down to the possible material deflection someone mentioned, i.e. if I cut both angles at the same time then more force is required rather than just cutting each end...

Re: Angle and gap problems. Knife Block issue?
Agree as long as the blades are 90 degree on the knife block, but it doesn't look like that, appear to be very slightly less, even with new blades, so not sure whats going on there, but is enough to notice a gap once framed. Have removed them, checked and refitted. Moving the left fence back will re...

Re: Angle and gap problems. Knife Block issue?
Thanks, I'm actually cutting polcore (yes I know its not to everyones taste, but it suits the application I have) I did try your suggestions and has lead to some more queries, relating to how you actually cut the moulding and which fence you are lining up the cut with. This is how I see things at th...

Angle and gap problems. Knife Block issue?
Hi, I've been trying to fix a long standing issue I've had with my Morso where I sometimes get a gap in the join. I use quite a wide moulding and have spent many hours adjusting fences to try and resolve this. I've also just purchased a brand new set of Framers Corners Morso blades hoping this would...

Re: Guide lock handle, tighten ?
Thanks, it was more about how I take it apart, the bolt head looks rounded. Looking at the diagrams it appears that the locking handle sits over a nut on top, is it just a case of levering this handle off, I can then look at the nut/bolt tightness ?
thanks
thanks

Guide lock handle, tighten ?
Hi,
I noticed my left hand guide locking handle does not tighten as much as the right hand one. Does anyone know how to adjust this, presuming underneath somewhere, but the bolt going into the knob/handle is rounded ? thanks

Deep Black Gloss moulding - polcore/artcore suppliers ?
Hi, I am looking for a plastic/artcore/polcore version of an expensive gloss black wooden frame I currently use. The wooden frame moulding is 60mm deep and 75mm wide and can be seen on this link. https://flagshipframing.co.uk/mouldings/72-shiny-4-float-moulding.html Its a float design and I add a wo...
