Arqadia Conservation Minuet Mountboard
I'd be interested to know if anyone who uses Arqadia Conservation Minuet Mountboard (3500 and 2400 thickness) has noticed any changes to it recently?

I have noticed the core seems to be softer on the thicker boards lately.

It seems to me that the 3.5 scuffs more on the bevel unless the blade is new?

Re: Arqadia Conservation Minuet Mountboard
What we have noticed is that our latest pack of 3500 has writing on the reverse (as apparently it is supposed to do) All previous packs we have had have been blank on both sides.
If this mountboard has a 'right' side and a 'reverse' side how do we tell which is which is both sides are blank?
Arqadia insist it always has writing on the reverse, however a new pack of 2400 we have just opened is also blank on both sides. I have asked them for clarification but not had a reply.

I agree I'm sure both my Minuet and Hayseed 3.5 boards are blank. With the Hayseed its easy to tell which side is which but I've always assumed that the Minuet has face papers on both sides as both look identical?

That's what we thought - that both sides are identical. Arqadia say there is always writing on one side, as does their web site "Individual BWS ratings are marked on the reverse side of every sheet."grahamdown wrote:I agree I'm sure both my Minuet and Hayseed 3.5 boards are blank. They apparently buy the mountboard in already packed so they haven't checked this. Will pursue with them and report back.

I don't ever remember the thicker boards having anything on the back, just used a pallet of 2400 hayseed, all blank on the back.

According to Arcadia the latest batch of 2400 Minuet board is not stamped on the back and the 3500 Minuet IS stamped.
This is a supplier error apparently.
