Hi there,
Flowers or other plant parts must be dried using proper procedure to avoid molds. If the dried flower or dried plant parts have water content, it will decay at a faster pace. Keeping flowers in the sun is a good way to get rid of moisture but it is a curative measure. I believe prevention is better than cure. Therefore, you should buy flowers that are dried using proper method. In case you are drying your flowers by yourself, you should dry your flowers using right process. Hope that was helpful. :)
