Compressors and Compressed Air Tools

I've recently been given a Jun-Air 6-25 compressor and I'm trying to weigh up whether it's worth hanging on to or selling on.

I have no air-powered equipment, so don't really have any current use for it, but as it cost me nowt, I'm not averse to investing in future.

So, apart from underpinners and guillotines, what other items - point guns, staplers etc - might be better if I moved over to a compressed air system?

I have a Bambi which I got at the right price maybe 20 years ago. It sits in the shed gathering dust.
I think I had an idea for it once but no idea what it was..... There are some nice little sets you can
get with various air tools - drills, polishers and wotnot. Never missed not having them. I wouldn't mind
a gizmo for blowing up tyres though. Might get a spray gun one day.

I use a compressor for my underpinner and a staple gun. It's very handy for the staples although if I didn't have the underpinner I would just use a manual staple gun.
I also have a spray paint adapter thing but I've never used it.
I've toyed with the idea of getting a points gun for the compressor but didn't get any further than that.

A point gun would be the most obvious use, might be handy to have a flexible airline from the ceiling above my workbench...

Do they have any advantage over a standard point gun apart from not getting cramp after big jobs??

I use compressor for valiani cmc, underpinner framing points on frame backs

My compressor is used for the usual suspects, the CMC and underpinner. However I also have it attached to an air gun which gets a good work out on my finishing table, a quick blast to the matted print and glass before I put it all together usually keeps the dust and other bits of fluff away.

Doesn't your airline occasionally blow moisture out as well? Or do have a dryer in the line?

We have two running, one for the Wizard 9000 the other feeds our underpinner and point gun as well as an air nozzle and nail gun.
Wouldn't be without them now as so quick and convenient.

I don't believe I have a dryer in the airline, it's a sil-air. I have never notice any moisture in the airline, but out of habit I generally point it away from the work area for the first blow just incase there is a bit of grot in the end of the gun. Being in Australia, its usually quite warm and the air conditioner keeps the humidity in check.

I use air for Matpro -120, Underpinner, Nail gun, Stapler and Tab Gun. Saves time and energy!

I I bought Framers corner stapler and point driver. Lower end price range but do the job for a small '/ medium turnover business. Only issue I have with tab Gun is that the points don't lie as flat as I would like.

Thanks for all the advice and pointers, I'll see if I can get this up and running before I decide if I'm going to keep it at home for bike duties and my garage workshop, or at the shop for framing duties...

I got an Omer stapler ridiculously cheap of the ebay so I've got something to try it out with...
