I am in the process of opening a small gallery /picture framing reception but it is more or less south facing full glass frontage.
I need some form of UV protection to prevent fading as much as possible but obviously would like people to be able to see in clearly.
I have seen some UV film that bonds to glass and there is some (only on a couple of windows) in place already but needs replacing as it is ripped in places and i am not sure of the quality of uv protection it offers, And it seems slightly mirrored looking from the inside out.
On the PEL site http://www.preservationequipment.com/Ca ... ester-film
they have this but it would seem (I have phoned but they could offer no further info apart from description the have) that it is a film that you stick up with a special double sided tape.
So after any recommendations or experience of the same problems please
Paul
UV protection
Re: UV protection
I had tinted film on my west-facing windows. Don't know if UV stuff is the same but although it did cut of the evening glare
the outside was highly reflective which was not a good thing.
How about pull-down roller blinds? They are a bit pricey but at least you can wind them up when it's not sunny.
