Can any of you technophiles out there recommend a good book that covers MS Access for Eejits in layman's English, please?
I'm looking for something that will give me a quick leg-up on the learning curve. Anything too technical and overwhelming and I just zone out these days. (Level 3 tech support is just a distant memory now.... )

I would also recommend that you find an evening college for hands on tuition. They are relatively cheap and invaluable.
Here's a college in Donegal and one for a night course search in Ireland. My partner has studied to Access level 3 and I can wholeheartedly say that without tuition it can be very difficult . Most colleges provide level 1 training which should be enough. At higher levels you have to start to understand visual basic script which is the kind of machine code my physics teacher used to throw at me at A level. Books on the subject seem to have over 1000 pages and cost about £60, so the dummies guides are invaluable.
