Paper Conservator

Good paper conservators are hard to find, well, in my experience they have been, with emphasis on 'good'. Far harder than frame and oil painting restorers.

I highly recommend this guy - based in Chandlers Ford. He comes at least this far East so I assume he'll go the same distance West & North - poss further - depends how many places he does work for within what distance.

Anyway, he's not too far from quite a few members.

Our gallery has been using him since before I started-over 10 years ago now - And I second your recommendation highly .

There used to be a fantastic art restorer down here in Devon, if you could afford him! He was intenationally famous and had a great reputation for his work and some very good restorers have been trained by him too!

Someone I used to work with was one of his staff, everyone thought very highly of him. His work was fantastic, but........

I always use this guy ( have been for 20 years) Andrew Wheeler http://www.fine-art-on-paper-restoration.co.uk/ he is based in Bristol. He was trained by his father, T.K.Wheeler.(Family have been picture restorers since around 1895).
