Can anyone out there help me with this one?
I have a piece of needlepoint to re-frame - the canvas has fallen inside the frame. I've opened it all up at the back and found that it has been stuck down onto a piece of hardboard (instead of being laced) with masking tape and then stuck to the mountboard with double-sided ATG tape. With more masking tape for good measure.
I've managed to remove all the tape, but the canvas at the back and the outer edge of the embroidery at the front is still sticky where the tape was. Please can anyone tell me how to remove this without damaging the work?
Many thanks
Anji

Re: needlepoint
Hi Amji
another piece of tape can work, take a piece off the roll of masking tape and fold it over so the sticky side is outside then dab the tape on the area that has the left over adhesive and pull back, this should lift any left over adhesive, you might have to "dab" the same area a few times to get it all off.
Hope this helps
