Wanted - Rebate Support for Guillotine

Post by tasadam »

Hi there.
First post...

I have just gone and bought a 2nd hand guillotine, but it is missing the right rebate support.
It seems there are a number that fit - I found this article
http://www.cassese.com/manuels/55pdf/ad ... gadapt.pdf
It suggests that perhaps the Jyden uses the same as the Hansen and the Morso, or certainly they are set the same way.

My guillotine is a Rammefabriken Jyden - the same as this

Except mine is in better condition than this example.

I see that a number of people buy a higher rebate support kit, so am hoping that there's someone out there that is willing to part with their right side rebate support. Or both, if I have to.

I found this, where they are both available
http://www.underpinner-spares.co.uk/det ... emID=10118
But I don't necessarily need both.

If no-one here has any suggestions I guess I will have to buy one new...
But I am prepared to pay, including postage to Tasmania Australia.

On another note, does anyone know whether the blades are interchangeable between brands? Seems the Morso F one is the most popular, another that I found available in Australia is the Cassese CS55M - http://www.cassese.com/eng/saws/cassese_cs55m.html
Perhaps it has compatible parts too?

Thanks in advance.

I should have one lying around if you can wait until Thursday.
Checkout the morso blade debate on general discussion still ongoing.

I found this post with some good photos, sure looks like mine...

Mine's the Jyden, those photos are of the Morso.

the differences I see between my left rebate support and this one are - on the back plate of the support, mine doesn't have a lump / screw sticking out, it is flush. And the screw holding the bottom bit in (in this photo it looks like a countersunk screw), on mine it's a hex bolt head.

Other than that, it looks the same, so I am reasonably confident the Morso one will fit the Jyden and am prepared to buy based on that.
