Toaster

Post by mikeysaling »

Having purchased numerous toasters over the years we have come to the conclusion that there is no such animal as a 'perfect toaster' !! Our present two slice horror one has just burnt one slice and underdone the other - the sides of both slices are uneven Grrrrrrrrrr.

Anyone got a recco. for a decent replacement?

The noises emanating from mrs mikey in the kitchen lead me to believe that the present machine is about to suffer a major trauma.

How about one of these? Crazy price but lasts for ever. They do a 4 slice option and one with sandwich toaster.

I second that. We purchased a two slice Dualit toaster about 20 years ago, and gave it to my daughter for her flat. She still has it. We replaced that with the 4 slice toaster in 2002 and it has worked fine every day since then. The 2 slice one had an element go many years ago but Dualit have spares so we replaced the element.

Thanks for that - will look at dualit (seems expensive) but if it does the job and lasts - could be money well spent !!

We have this one

Being cheap skates we wanted to save £4.95! actually it goes with the kitchen decor and have since bought the matching kettle.
