Regarding the Keencut Futura. Was this a really elaborate April fool jape or is there such a beast?

I have one on order; I think it’s getting delivered the beginning of May. If you go on the Lion website you will see it.

Keencut Ultimat Futura?

Post by Martin Harrold »

Yes, apologies for the delivery delay to all those who have a Keencut Ultimat Futura on order.

We do keep in very regular contact with the factory. The problem with any machine like that is that it probably has, at a guess, around 200 components. We understand that almost all the components, most of which are made in the Keencut factory on some very sophisticated computer controlled machine tools, are ready. But as it is brand new and extremely innovative, a very few items are delayed for technical reasons.

And of course, assembly cannot be started until all components are ready.

At least one Futura will be available to view at Meet. Learn. Celebrate, May 13/14.

Had my Keencut Ultimat Futura 1500 delivered yesterday :D all the way from Lion - thanks Toni Forrester at Lion for the assistance! Please let her know Martin. I might be wrong but think this must be the first one into South Africa as the local distributor doesn't have it yet.

I'm very pleased and waiting for those framing orders :sweating:

Patience has obviously been a virtue, and stock of the Futura is starting to flow through.

Thanks for the the nice note about Toni. She recently passed her GCF, as all our sales team are encouraged to do, and that gives her extra confidence when talking to customers.

The Futura been pretty well tested during the extended development stages, but of course, if anyone comes across any bugs that need attention, do let us know. We are in regular contact with the development engineering team at Keencut and they greatly value feedback.

Martin,

I should of thanked you and your staff long before now. A company that has gone the extra mile with me. When I came to visit Lion Jack took the time to pick me up and drop me back at the airport, Jack has also spent lots of time with me on the phone. Julia in sales has also been a big help to me. Thanks to all the team at Lion for all your help over the last 6 months. The Futura is working really well, as is all my other equipment.

Regards

Alastair
