Lion Framer's Event 2012

Post by Jonny2morsos »

Most of you have probably had the email from Lion announcing their Framer's Event in October.

So who's up for going then?

The Object and Memorabilia Framing on the Thursday appeals and I am guessing it makes sense to go Wednesday as well for the Framing Workshop Show and have an overnight stay.

Opportunity for a social gathering if anyone is interested.

Having been to a Lion event in the past I can highly recommend attendance. Martin Harrold and his brilliant team are first class hosts and very generous in their hospitality, you will not be disappointed.

I might go.
there is nothing I look forward to more than hon-nobbing with people from the fine art trade guild.
And I am sure we would have a lot to talk about.

Bit miffed I haven't got an email yet cos I registered ages ago - maybe emails take longer to come north of the border lol Yes, Weds and Thurs sound good to me - hopefully the packed lunch will be on offer again, last years was scrummy!

I'm a bit miffed, because I haven't received an email either. And I didn't even register

I'll mail Lion.
If they'll let me go, I'm going to stick close to Kev.
I do enjoy a bun fight. :giggle:

Good advice is best learned, rather than simply listened to.

Good to read the very positive reaction to our second Framer's Event Week. Everyone is welcome to come along - if you come on your Kawasaki, Kev, we'll even provide safe parking.

If anyone has not received an email from us recently, then maybe you are not on our email list. We can check and sort this if you just send your customer reference (if you have it) and your email address to 'info@lionpic.co.uk'.

The Tuesday and Wednesday framing equipment 'fest' days will have every piece of framing, mountcutting, mounting & laminating and many other items all up and working. In many cases, tech reps from the manufacturers will be on hand to help and advise you, whether you already have an item or whether you are thinking of investing in new stuff to make your workshop operations even more efficent.

We're pleased that our food bags are fondly remembered, but they are quite expensive to provide in large numbers. I'm afraid it may only be be very good tea and coffee and excellent biscuits this year. Parking for big numbers can be a problem as many will know, so our Ops Director Darren Walker has just signed a contract with Birmingham City. No, not to play, fortunately for them, and him! We'll be using one of their car parks just around the corner, with a mini-bus shuttle.

FF members, are of course, especially welcome, and we'll set up a meeting point for you. If any are staying in town, we can point you to a number of execllent Balti houses not too far way.
