Blades ripping moulding

Any thoughts on this please, morso blades just ravage this soft pine moulding. The blades in the morso were cutting ok but nevertheless I changed for a newly sharpened (LIon) set, but the blades seem to tear the wood out of the mitre and chip the back. Both sets cut harder mouldings fine.
Is there a knack, is it likely to be the moulding, any ideas please

Is the wood soft and spongy? if so that is your problem IMHO, I used to use a cheap aqadia moulding which was like that had to switch to a plastic in the end until a few years ago when they realised the cheap Chinese carp was no good.

Internally it is Grays, soft without much by way of composition.

I think you have been extremely lucky to have not come across this rubbish wood before, just get a credit on the stuff and bin it.

Stick 3 and 4 were ok and the job was completed late last night, I'll see what response I get from my mate behind the counter. You can absorb a lot of stuff though if the end result is good.

This same internal mess can also sometimes be seen in foam center board where the foam core has degraded.

Yup sometimes seems to be a bad stick or two in with the rest. Seems to be the finish is the only thing holding it all together. As others have said you just need to bin that lot and get a refund.

if you don't ask for a refund on the dodgy stuff the supplier won't know there is a problem that needs addressing.
