Anyone have any Wessex Moulding E4082 please?

Post by andy_parks »

Hi Framers Forum,

I am probably asking a real long shot here but I wonder if anyone has any of a Wessex Pictures moulding code E4082. It is an antique gold moulding about 1.25" wide with a distinctive turqoise line on the inner edge. I have a customer who wants to match a previous order but alas when I came to order the moulding it has been discontinued by Wessex and they do not have any in any of their now numerous branches. I need enough for a 12" X 10" oil or about 5 feet please? Obviously would pay going rate and P & P to anyone that may have a bit. The turqoise line matches the portrait's subject matters' eyes hence the request as it really suits the picture. Hoping you can help.
Best regards to all,
Andy Parks.

May not be such a long shot - post a photo if you have the frame to match, or those that have the Wessex catalogue can check what it looks like - it may not be unique to Wessex.

Hi John,

Thank you so much for this. I will telephone them this afternoon and get hold of that moulding for my customer. This forum really is a brilliant idea and I am very impressed at the collective knowledge and wisdom of your members. Also thanks to Roboframer for the advise on the photo and also to Dermot for having the sense to look on Wessex's website (a useful online resource by the way to anyone of interest but I am sure you already know that) to supply the photo. Thanks guys! Will let you know how I get on.
Thanks again!

Kindest Regards,

Andy Parks.
