I've been having a few problems with my corners recently, I'll try to briefly outline what's been happening:
Corners were fine with no problems at all. As my blades eventually went blunt I changed them for sharp blades, and made a test frame. Although first two corners of the frame joined perfectly, when the two L's are joined together there is an overlap on the last corner i.e, the angles of the frame are too small. I did the following:
1. Took off the blades, cleaned the cutting head and the back of the blades and re-fitted them ensuring the fronts met perfectly.
2. Checked the fences on my Morso were straight using a straight edge.
3. Check the angle of the fences on my cassese cs 88 to ensure a right angle.
4. Check straightness of moulding and rebait supports were in the right position.
After making a second test frame I was faced with the same problem. I jigged the morso blades around several times, to no avail. I ended up adjusting the angle of the left fence (pulling it towards me). The test frames were better and fine for soft, flat mouldings. However after a few days I was still having problems with harder mouldings and mouldings with any profile. Frustrated I put on another set of newly sharpened blades.
After many adjustments I was still having the same problem. Again - soft, flat mouldings were ok, but domed or wider mouldings presented more problems. I put a third set of sharp blades on. I am currently working with the left hand fence pulled towards me and am having similar problems. Today I have experienced both open corners on the inside of the frame and on the outside of frames made with different mouldings.
The corners appear to join perfectly at the back of the frame but I have slight open corners on the front. Rebait supports are always supporting the moulding; always very careful with the final slither cut; wedges are not too close to either edge of the moulding when pinned.
The only other variable I can thing about is the blades - all three sets are no more than two and a half years old, and are professionally sharpened by mainline. Is it possible that some how they have been misaligned when they have been ground? When I hold a set square to the blades fitted to the morso, the angle they make is less than 45 degrees, and I can't adjust them to rectify this.
I'm getting really frustrated with this issue getting in the way of my work so any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Paul

Re: Morso blade misalignment?
Hi, sorry I'm not in a position to offer any useful advice here but your post did sound very familiar to issues I have at times and it is incredibly frustrating. There are some great, experienced and very helpful people on here so I'm sure there's light at the end of tunnel soon.
As I said, I have the same issues and it does seem to depend on the moulding etc but inexperience on my part doesn't rule out me making the odd mistake!

Re: Morso blade misalignment?
I have had this problem with badly sharpened blades, after complaining and sending them back for resharpening they came back the same! I then sent them to a different company and they came back perfect.
I will point out that mainline was.not the company I am referring to.
My farther also suddenly had a similar problem, his turned out to be a crack in the case of the Morso everything was moving slightly out of line when the case flexed as he put pressure on the pedal.
I hope yours in more the blades and not the casing.
