Cellophane bags

Post by foxyframer »

Small but important tip regarding self-seal cellophane bags.

I have been caught out once by these bags, where the flap can make contact with the face of a mounted print.

Suppliers are now putting on labels:

CAUTION: we advise cutting off the flap before removing the print, to avoid any possibility of contact with adhesive.

Obviously there has been a problem.

Once bitten, twice shy.
Measure twice - cut once

If the adhesive coating is applied to the body of the bag rather than the flap then there is no problem. And the bag can even be resealed if required.

Some manufacturers are already doing this.
