Picture Framing Hobby Chat

Post by Jenkins19 »

I like to have a mobile creative chat room for my picture framing hobby website to connect with people that share similar interests around the world and converse real time about our hobby and thoughts.
I tested RumbleTalk and FlashChat but I think they lack of third party capability, any suggestions?

Hi Jenkins, can you elaborate a bit on what you want to do, and what the two you tested did not have?

Do you have enough of a readership to make a real time chat room appropriate? I don't know, of course, but if you log on and nobody is there then something like a message board or guestbook style page would be enough to get a conversation going without people needing to be online at the same time.

Hi and Welcome Jenkins.

You used the dreaded word 'Hobby'. The forum is mostly used by people who do framing wholly or partly as a living. Doesn't mean you are not welcome to participate, but bear in mind that the people here will look at framing from a business perspective.

Can we have a look at your website? :D

Thank you all for your answers.
My site is in build stage, so nothing to share.
I have already over 1500 likes in Facebook that I hope will bring some traffic when I launch.
And yes the chat room I consider is having kind of history that can be used for offline answers.

I think what you need is a place where like minded people can come together and exchange ideas, something like......

a forum :giggle:

Well I did a lot of research on this and what I did is that I started using rumbletalk on my webpage, blog and my facebook page. It is really well synchronized. I also customized it a lot so it looks really cool. I love when I am able to post youtube videos, charts, pictures and seems like visitors does as well.

It is also really good radio player chat.

For sure it is worth trying! You can always send me a message if u need help as I became quite an expert in this now.
