I use Arqadia mountboard, but find that the face paper on the blackcore is about as good quality as photocopy paper. Any recommendations for a brand with a solid quality white facepaper.
Cheers

Re: Blackcore
I would agree about the AQBC. I've had it once or twice and it does tend to be a tad blotchy.
The only BC I use nowadays is Crescent. Wessex do it. Some nice shades. Mist is one of my staples. And not blotchy at all.

I only use black black core no problems there , however the face paper of the arqadia does scuff easily IMHO.

Re: Blackcore
The only black core that I carry in stock is with black facing papers as well. I used to regularly sell solid black mounts, but now I can't even remember the last time that I sold one. I'm guessing, but I would say that about 90% of all the mounts that I cut come from only about 25% of the colours that I have in stock.
Another two months and I will have had my shop for 12 years. I'm not good and guessing how long ago things were, but before about 5 years ago I sold a lot more variety in mounts than I do today. I've no idea why this is, apart from the fact that quite a lot of people don't have much time and need to be somewhere else in a hurry.
Customers also seem to choose a day to collect their work, when they can combine this with other tasks. Originally people were in less of a rush, but now many people seem to be cramming so many things into a day that they don't have much time for picking the right mount to go with the artwork.
