Can someone help, I framed a needlepoint about six months ago laced on foam board as usual, but now there is mould in the cotton base (about 20%)
I have stripped the frame and cut the stretching lace to reveal the foam board mount is also marked by the mould, what has caused this?
This is the first time I have experienced this and need to know why it has happened.
Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Re: Mould under frame
In this case I would hazzard to say that the mold is due to high humidity and lack of air flow wherever it is being displayed or stored. It is not specifically the fault of the framer under normal conditions.
