New Workshop inspiration

Post by dandydon07 »

Hi everyone,

I have recently had a big flood in my shop (which isn’t the first time) so I have decided to move and set up without any flats above me.

I have found a fairly large unit/warehouse (1200sqft) but I am struggling to visualise how I would like it to look.

I do have many ideas in my head but I was wondering if anyone on here has a similar unit and could send me images of it, or knows of any other business that they have seen that I could get in touch with to get images sent over?

I have all the usual machines and workbenches and was keen on doing everything open plan, but also had an idea of putting in a mezzanine floor for either office space or a little gallery.

Any advice/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ian

I like the idea that customer's can see you working so open plan, I have a gallery section which you are in when at the counter, customers waiting can look at artwork; IMO upstairs gallery won't attract anybody. I have found galleries are good for interest not good for putting money in the till
