sticking down canvas
a customer has asked me to stick down 4 canvas paintings what is the best way to do this
Re: sticking down canvas
My method FWIW....
I have used Unibond in the past, although the usual PVA is basically the same but thicker. Brush it on the board and spread it out well. Work fast as it dries quickly. The secret of a good bond is pressure. Put some silicone release paper on top and a foam blanket if you have one. Then you need a thick rigid board on top and pile a much weight on it as you can. Leave overnight if poss. For smaller items I've used my hardbed press (cold), which is about all it gets used for nowadays.
