WANTED: Framing & printing supplier for larger ongoing order
Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me here, I am looking for a UK based framing factory for an initial order of 50,000 framed prints. This is a confirmed order and we will need this quantity every 2-3 months.
I would really like to find a UK based factory who can help with this but I am finding it difficult! Does anyone out there have any recommendations? If so please email publishing@artandescape.com so I can send the spec.
Thanks
Nikki

Re: WANTED: Framing & printing supplier for larger ongoing o
Hello Nikki, welcome to the forum,
Sorry I don't know of a company who could handle an order like that. It maybe worth contacting some of the big moulding suppliers, Simons would be my first choice. They would know of companies they supply who are set up for mass production who could meet your requirements. You could also try Arqadia.

If it took me and my framer one hour per ten, it would take us 5000 hours or 625 eight hour days.

I just had a look at the John Jones website, looked at the video under the Framing section, worth a look, very impressive indeed

My real name is Adam Laver aka "Adam The Picture Framer", just in case you were unsure ; )

Brilliant video showing the journey of a gilded frame, have watched it 3 times over the last few days! Great and informative website too.
Nikki,
you have probably found this company while googling; Linx Pictures International, based in Lincolnshire:
http://www.linx-pictures.co.uk/index.htm
they seem to fit the bill, with current weekly production of 35,000 to 50,000 frames.
good luck
Richard

Check out Strand Framing in Cork they are a contract framers.
Also….
Regency Frames Ltd
94a, 13 Baldoyle Rd, 13, Co. Dublin 00353 1832 1061.
Regency are a supplier to Tesco and other major retailers, so I expect quantity and volume should not be an issue, and Strand are also a supplier to the UK market principally.

Did you resolve the 'Framing' problem? Or are you still looking for a framing source?
