The latest of several long haul airlines is pulling out of stansted - GOOD! Also easy jet are going to fly 800,000 passengers from southend rather than stansted - GOOD!
This airport (stansted) was pushing pushing pushing for a 2nd runway not long ago - what great expectations eh ! These folk TALK UP everything - I think stansted will gradually die - who wants all the hassle this airport offers - you can't get there without hassle - you can't park without hassle - you can't even drop people off without hassle.
The airport is a blight on the landscape - a constant worry to its neighbours and in MHO should be dug up and returned to farmland - while I'm at it the same should happen to the M11 and the A120
END OF RANT
AMEN
May your airport go with you.

Re: air asia pulls out of stansted
They wanted to expand Plymouth, but then realised they couldn't land 737 or 747's
It is now being shut
LHR was always convienient but b**** noisy, then we moved, it now takes a a half day to get to an airport that allows you to fly to long haul destinations, but then again could catch the train to France and fly from there and save a packet in fees for taking off and landing in the UK
PS: Think Stanstead is a good location for an airport
