shiny spots on black mouldings

Hello all,
I presume others also suffer from shiny spots where black, factory finished mouldings(eg RH1342 or WSXa019) have been scuffed in transit or storage.
I've not yet managed to find any way at all off fixing or masking the more glossy areas. Anyone got any tips? we sell it because cutomers like it for photographs but its a real pain having less control over quality.
