Hi all
So, i have regularly browsed The Framers Forum website, and today is the day to sign up and say hi to my peers. I've laughed and I've cried at many of the posts, just relieved that after 25 years of picture framing in Kent, many working on my own (although now with my wife), it appears that i am not alone. Like all of us, it seems, i,ve completed some fantastic jobs, some jobs where i,ve put my head in my hands and wondered if i would ever make a competent picture framer if i lived for a 100 years! I've made great profits on some jobs and barely broken even on others. I've met some fantastic people, customers and trade alike, and i've met people that i've no time for at all. When all said and done, after this short, but well deserved Christmas break, i will throw open the doors to my shop/ workshop put on my smiley face ready to face another year, safe in the knowledge that i'm in a fantastic profession. It may not always feel like it but, how lucky we are!! Happy new year everyone, may your blades stay sharp and your mitres stay tight and we all survive another year.

Welcome Ade
Loved your introduction, perfectly decribes framing.... warts and all
Most important, you have taken the plunge and become a Framer Forumer, a Poster, a Contributor.....
What is the collective noun for people who post. The Yanks call them Grumblers but I dont like that, it almost encourages grumbling
I'm gald you call it a fantastic profession - my sentiments exactly

It'll get livlier here in the new year, I think most, like you, take more than just the bank hols off. I don't because I'm far too important.
